Utilising your hotel's existing technology, a fair pricing policy seeks to reposition guest call pricing in such a way that the guest feels that the rates are "fair". Clearly this is not a one size fits all approach; what is "fair" pricing in a 5 star deluxe London hotel would not seem so in a lodge located in rural Scotland.
As many of you have already discovered, simply reducing call prices just results in less revenue without making your guests happier. You must first decide whether you want happier guests generating the same amount of revenue or happier guests and more of them. Either way if you cannot achieve this then the result will be lower overall revenue for the hotel, which needs to be quantified and budgeted for.
