The Tracker 332 is ideal for use as a PID Temperature Controller and for PID control within injection moulding and extrusion processes. You can download the application notes on PID control and condition monitoring for further information.

To use the Tracker 332 as a PID controller, you will need to fit the analogue output option and/or the Tracker 340 logic expansion module. We can supply the Tracker 332 with 4 logic outputs using the Tracker 340 logic expansion module. You can use these outputs for PID control or alarm purposes. This expansion module also offers special functions, which you can activate from an external volt free contact or a TTL interface.

These functions include:

  • Initiate Auto-Tune
  • Auto / Manual
  • Integral Hold
  • PID 1 / PID 2 selection switching between two setpoints, each with its own PID settings.

Each Tracker 300 is available with free SCADA software that you can download now. If you wish to know more about PID, then you can view our article on how a PID controller works.
